Air Products Donates $75,000 to Livingston Parish Government for Emergency Response Vehicle

With the start of hurricane season just weeks away, Air Products is donating $75,000 from the Lake Maurepas Community Fund to the Livingston parish government for the purchase of a vehicle for emergency response efforts.

This truck is one of the upgrades the Livingston Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is making to its Emergency Operations Center to enhance its response to emergencies in the parish.

“Livingston Parish leaders have made emergency preparedness and response a key priority and Air Products is proud to continue to support this important work,” said Danna Leblanc, Commercial Executive Director of Air Products’ Louisiana Clean Energy Complex. “This vehicle will support not only the Lake Maurepas Community, but all of Livingston parish. Planning and preparedness are so important to the community.”

“This grant from Air Products will help us as we continuously improve our emergency response for the people of Livingston Parish. This is especially critical as we enter into hurricane season, which is always a busy time for first responders. We are grateful to Air Products for their partnership in Livingston Parish,” said Parish President Randy Delatte.

Last year, the Air Products Foundation donated $100,000 from its Lake Maurepas Community Fund to assist the parish with updating equipment for their control center at its emergency operations center, which proved crucial during the parish’s successful response to Hurricane Francine.

For the last 3 years, Air Products also supported staffing for Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #2 funding for the purchase of an emergency response boat for Lake Maurepas area. Through the Lake Maurepas Community Fund, Air Products has pledged $1 million in community giving to the communities surrounding Lake Maurepas for the life of its Louisiana Clean Energy Complex.
